The remainder of the group came together, but not on the same page. Doug seems drained; everyone does. Bruce seems to be the only one right now who wants to end this thing as quickly as possible. Because of this, while everyone else was on a break, Bruce would sneak out and look for something that could at the very least push them in the right direction. While on this break, the news broke that Darrel turned himself in to the police for the murder of his cousin, Maverick. This pushed Bruce to try to find something as quickly as he could. Little did he know, it was in his garage the whole time. Tapes, with something on them, would push them in the right direction. The first tape had nothing important, but the second one did. Footage of Bruce's dad, alongside his mom, Doug's dad, and Mavericks parents (Darrel's Aunt and Uncle) went to the woods and had an interaction with the shadow people. The group goes to ask Bruce's dad about what happened that night. It goes wrong, and the group has to leave the house, and Bruce and Walter have to plan to move and leave River Creek. That doesn't happen, though, because Willow's possessed body attacks Bruce in his house, and his dad is missing. They all go and hide at Doug's house. But because of the news of Darrel ending his own life, Bruce runs away and tries to end it by himself. He eventually runs into Willow again, but the shadow figure possessing her attacks him. Thankfully, the group searched for him and found him and the book of rituals. Personally, I'm in disbelief that they found it. For years, I always thought it was real, but with no solid proof.
