River Creek ISD was founded in 1899 and has been ever growing since then. In the current day, the school holds 3,000 students across the three schools, with the High School being the biggest school currently in River Creek. The River Creek school mascot is the great Moose and has had this mascot since the mid 1940s. The school, like many others, has a massive amount of school spirit and still takes charge during the football season, and is getting close to going to the state semi-finales until getting eliminated by the Heyland Giants.
